CULTURE CORNER
Read
This last weekend in Portland, Maine I (G) picked up a copy of the newest Kennedy Magazine, an amazing one-man publication out of Greece. It’s available at a few niche bookstores around the city (and McNally Jackson too).
Shop
I (Anna B) have an ever-growing sculptural candle collection. This week I added one more to the bunch, a highlighter yellow twisty guy by Lex Pott from Coming Soon in the lower east side.
Listen
A few of our favorite bands the subway home came out with amazing new records. Andy Shauf’s Neon Skyline and Loving’s If I Am Only My Thoughts are two albums you need to hear now.

This week we’ve rounded up our favorite places to work on a side project (or anything) in NYC. Read about our top picks here:
DINER REVIEW
Court Square Diner
Long Island City, Queens
Our Rating: 4.5 of 5
When to Go: Any time after midnight.
What to order: A classic diner BLT with fries and a pickle :)
What to know: This Queens establishment is one of the most classic NYC diners you can visit. Perfect for when you’ve had one too many glasses of wine at your co-worker’s charity party around the corner (just a hypothetical).
